British actress Naomie Harris covers Harper’s Bazaar Arabia February 2014 issue, where she speaks on enjoying how her life hasn’t changed much despite starring in major films such as 28 Days Later, Pirates of the Caribbean and Skyfall.
“I can still go on the tube and nobody recognises me! I guess just look different in my every day life, in jeans and jumpers, than I do all glammed up on the red carpet. But it’s lovely, because I get to have the best of both worlds.”
Co-starring alongside Idris Elba in the new Mandela biopic, Long Walk to Freedom, Naomie also reveals how nervous she was taking on the role of the controversial Winnie Mandela.
“I’ve done a lot of films in the past but this one is different. It’s not just a film, it’s history, and I’m representing and promoting that. It’s important that this story is never forgotten. And it’s Mother Africa who I’m playing, there’s no middle ground.”
Photographed by Mara Desipris, the 37-year-old actress is styled in Victoria Beckham and Fendi for her cover shoot titled, “A Rare Breed.”
