SKYFALL has received nominations for Outstanding British Film (Sam Mendes, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, John Logan), Supporting Actor (Javier Bardem), Supporting Actress (Judi Dench), Original Music (Thomas Newman), Cinematography (Roger Deakins), Editing (Stuart Baird), Production Design (Dennis Gassner, Anna Pinnock) and Sound (Stuart Wilson, Scott Millan, Greg P. Russell, Per Hallberg, Karen Baker Landers).
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli commented today, “We are absolutely thrilled SKYFALL has received 8 nominations from the British Academy. We thank everybody who has voted for SKYFALL and all those who have contributed to the film’s continuing success."

Skyfall looks set to triumph at this year's BAFTA awards, with Judi Dench and Javier Bardem both nominated.
While Javier was nominated in the supporting actor category for his role as the villainous Silva, Judi received a nod for supporting actress after reprising her role as M.
But noticeably absent from the nominations was Bond himself, Daniel Craig, as well as the movie's director Sam Mendes.

Skyfall is also nominated for Outstanding British Film and Original Music - a nod to Adele who provided the hit Bond theme of the same name.
The film also picks up nods for Cinematography, Editing, Production Design and Sound.
