Six decades of screen sirens who bewitched James Bond with their beauty were brought together in Buckinghamshire on Thursday night.

Some of the early Bond girls such as Joanna Lumley joined present 007 star Naomie Harris at the Diamonds Are Forever Gala to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Duke Of Edinburgh Awards.

Hosted by comedian David Walliams, the VIP guests met the Prince Philip, the Duke Of Edinburgh, who was joined by his son Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex. 

Dame Judi Dench, Jane Seymour, Maryam D'Abo, Samantha Bond, Caterina Murino and Sir Roger Moore were also invited to the 007-themed fundraiser at Stoke Park - which has previously featured in Goldfinger and Tomorrow Never Dies.

Also in attendance was former Bond star Colin Salmon and the franchise's producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, as well as Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes. 

Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna, 70, is one the earliest Bond girls, playing one of Blofeld's Angels of Death alongside George Lazenby On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969.

Speaking about her favourite Bonds, she said: 'Sir Roger was amazing. Pierce Brosnan was incredible as well.

'People are always asking me who's going to be the next bond but Barbara Broccoli is holding her cards very close to her chest.'

Mingling in the garden at the champagne reception, Joanna posed for photos with fellow Bond girl Jane, who played Solitaire alongside Sir Sean Connery in Live And Let Die in 1973.

Her former Bond Sir Roger - who played the spy between 1973 and 1985 - was one of the big names at the bash and gave his opinion on who he would like to see in the role next.

He explained: 'Anybody who is athletic - Daniel Craig has made that so. He is still Bond.'

Representing the Eighties Bond films was Timothy Dalton's The Living Daylights co-star Maryam d'Abo, who played Kara Milovy in the 1987 movie, while the Noughties was represented by Caterina, famous for Solange Dimitrios alongside Daniel Craig in his 007 debut Casino Royale in 2006.

Joining the actresses were not actual Bond girls, rather 007's MI6 colleagues; Samantha and Naomie, the past and current incarnations of Moneypenny.

Downton star Samantha played Miss Moneypenny alongside Pierce Brosnan in four 007 films, Goldeneye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002).

Meanwhile, Daniel Craig-era Naomie took on the role of Eve Moneypenny in Skyfall in 2012 and reprised her role in last year's blockbuster Spectre.

The actress admitted she had no idea who was in the frame to replace Daniel once he officially stepped down from Bond: 'I have no idea. I know nothing, exactly the same as everyone else.

'I love Daniel Craig, and really really hope he's going to come back.'

Completing Bond's female colleagues at the party was Dame Judi, who played M for seven movies, before she was killed off in Skyfall.

Speaking about the Duke Of Edinburgh's work with young people, Dame Judi said: 'It has galvanised a lot of young people into doing a lot of good things.

'My own nephew did the Duke of Edinburgh Awards - it gives people a focus, they realise "there's something I can do" and it's thrilling.'

Speaking about her favourite Bonds, Joanna said: 'Sir Roger was amazing. Pierce Brosnan was incredible as well'

The first teaser poster for the latest installment in the James Bond film franchise has been revealed and the super spy is looking strikingly familiar.

While Daniel Craig returns as the suave Bond for the fourth time, he appears to have taken some fashion tips from a previous incarnation, sporting a similar look to Sir Roger Moore in the 1973 film, Live And Let Die.

The poster shows him dressed in black trousers and a turtleneck,  sporting a shoulder holster and holding a gun while he stares moodily into the camera.

And the new movie is sticking close to the tried and tested Bond format, with the official synopsis revealing, 'A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.' 

The release of the teaser poster, featuring the official 007 logo, comes just after Craig and Moore teamed up for a Comic Relief skit on March 13th. 

The one-off sketch left viewers shaken AND stirred as Bond's 'biggest secret' was revealed.

In the mockumentary-style clip, it was claimed that Daniel Craig's voice had to be dubbed in Casino Royale and all subsequent Bond movies as he actually sounds like a little girl.

And none other than comedian Alan Carr was revealed to be the 'real' voice of Bond in the hilarious 'mockumentary'.

Kicking off the sketch, Bond producer Michael G Wilson explained: 'Daniel was born to play Bond, apart from the thing...' 

Not impressed: Daniel could be seen protesting, 'I don't sound like a little girl - I sound like a big manly man, which is what I am.’

They then revealed the 'one thing about Daniel that millions of fans around the world don't know.'

Craig's co-star Ben Whishaw continued: 'When he talks Daniel sounds really distinctive. It's just not the voice you think of when you think of Bond.'

Daniel protested: 'I don't sound like a little girl - I sound like a big manly man, which is what I am.’

Surprise: In the end, it was revealed that Alan Carr was, in fact, the source of James Bond's voice in the movie

Fun twist: The camp chat show host would certainly have been the last people viewers expected to see on their screens

His co-star, Naomie Harris, was heard talking with a manly Northern accent, while Moore's clipped tones were revealed to be fake and his real voice was Geordie. 

The sketch was part of Comic Relief's Face The Funny, which raised millions for charity. 

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Mexican actress Stephanie Sigman, 28,  had become the latest female addition to Spectre, joining previously announced stars Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux.

The news was announced on the official James Bond Twitter account, where the post read: 'We are pleased to announced that @SigmanStephanie has joined the cast of #Spectre as Estrella.'

Model-turned-actress Sigman will play the mysterious character in the 24th Bond film, with further details being kept under wraps.

Sam Mendes is directing the movie and returning tars Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Rory Kinnear will once again play Bond's MI6 colleagues.

New cast members to Spectre include Andrew Scott, Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista.

And so it begins... Daniel Craig shooting with co-star Monica Bellucci on set of Spectre in Rome, Italy on February 19 

Spectre stands for the global terrorist organisation, Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. 

Sigman, who is to star in the upcoming Netflix series Narcos, is best known for roles in films like Miss Bala and Pioneer.

Last month 47-year-old Daniel was injured behind the wheel during a high-speed car chase through the streets of Rome - his second injury while filming the movie. 

The secret agent's state of the art silver Aston Martin DB10 hit a bump in the road, as it raced through the central streets, which had been closed off for filming. 

Craig reportedly also suffered a knee injury just a week before while filming in Austria. 

Spectre will open in UK cinemas on November 6 2015.
