Sam Smith's James Bond theme has finally been revealed.

The singer's Spectre track Writing's On The Wall was unveiled on Friday morning, and the song has left fans in a frenzy with its classic 007 sound.

The sure-to-be-iconic sounds of the strings get the theme started in the right way before Sam shows off his impressive range.

As the track reached a climatic chorus, he sings: "Tell me is this where i give it all up? For you, I have to risk it all - 'cause the writing's on the wall."

The reaction has been generally very positive, with one fan tweeted: "Sam Smith wow best Bond theme EVER spine tingling! !!! (sic)"

Another added: "here comes bond !!! Sam Smith : writings on the wall : Brilliant classic bond sound.. Goosebumps.. #spectre (sic)"

Meanwhile, Sam had previously admitted he was "s****ing" himself as he awaited the big reveal of his Bond theme.

The singer's Spectre track Writing's On The Wall will be unveiled on Friday and he said trying to match the "legacy" of iconic tracks like Goldfinger is "intense".

He told The Sun: "I'm s****ing myself. With this song I don't care about it charting and things like that. I just care about doing the legacy proud.

"The pressure to deliver a Bond song that stands against all the rest feels quite intense."
